[Endgame: rise or DROWN]
[How long have you been exploring Nessa's palace now? You've met her family, viewed her memories, learned how to fight as a witch and tried to find the source of her power and the Treasure of her palace: the Voidheart. And along the way, you've tired your best, with mixed success, to avoid the incarnation of her eldest cousin and the representation of her trauma and fear, the Nightmare of Esmau.]
[Wherever you are in the Palace right now, you feel the ground briefly shake under your feet. Little shakes here and there haven't been out of the ordinary - Esmau is trying to blow the place down to the studs, after all. But that felt different. That felt....worse.]

AKIRA'S SPELLBOOK
Invoke:
Name: Rebellion
Description: “Vow to me. I am thou, thou art I... Thou who art willing to perform all sacrilegious acts for thine own justice! Call upon my name, and release thy rage! Show the strength of thy will to ascertain all on thine own, though thou be chained to Hell itself!” - Arsene, the Pillager of Twilight
Tier: Invoke
Spark: Neutral
Range: Ranged
Effect:
Inflict or receive 100 combined damage to charge. Damage requirement reduced by 10 each round.
Summons Akira’s Persona, Arsene. Arsene will empower all of Akira’s basic spells.
Lasts two rounds.
Spark: Void
Spells:
1.
Name: Paradise Lost
Description: A dagger used to drive angels from Paradise. A Persona can manifest Void Spark into the dagger’s blade to create a facsimile of the darkness spell, Eigaon. The capability of the Void to so readily simulate Darkness raises questions about a possible connection between the Void and the Metaverse….
Tier: Basic
Spark: Neutral
Range: Melee
Effect:
Inflict low damage to 1 target.
While Rebellion is active, becomes a Void spell and gains 1 Volatile Spark when coming out of Invisibility.
Invisible: Inflict critical damage when attacking with this spell while Invisible.
2.
Name: Well of Life
Description: Opens a node within the Harmony Network to release a powerful well of restorative energy. There is some debate as to whether the Harmony energy itself is doing the healing or if it’s simply coaxing the recipient’s brain to send out Spark that enhances and accelerates the body’s normal healing processes. Most Harmony academics responds to debate on the subject by asking if there’s any difference and have been labeled extremely unhelpful by their colleagues as a result.
Tier: Powerful
Spark: Harmony
Range: Ranged
Effect:
Cast three Basic Spells to charge
Heal all allies (including caster) for 2d5+10 (individual rolls)
3.
Name: Gravity Strike
Description: An elbow strike that increases the effects of gravity on the target. An opponent fighting the effects of increased gravity will have to expend more energy to move, so you’re highly encourage to increase your taunting and sophomoric insults for as long as they’re struggling with it.
Tier: Basic
Spark: Void
Range: Melee
Effect:
Inflicts low damage to one target.
Increases Parry Chance by +1. Lasts until a Parry is attempted.
4.
Name: The Show’s Over
Description: Knock your opponent off balance by inflicting critical damage, then coordinate with your allies to unleash an All-Out Attack. Make sure to strike a pose at the end.
Tier: Powerful
Spark: Neutral
Range: Melee
Effect:
Cast four basic spells to charge
Can only be activated after you inflict critical damage to your opponent.
You and all allies can choose one damage-inflicting spell they can currently cast and cast it on the same target.
5.
Name: Quick Strike
Description: A lightning-fast strike delivered best as a follow-up. The quick reflexes and conservation of energy necessary to employ this technique effectively are honed by training under increased gravity. Gravity manipulation is a polarizing aspect of Void magic and intentionally experiencing increased gravity for physical training is considered reckless at best and suicidal at worst by many experts, Void-trained or otherwise. Those who still do it must believe the results speak for themselves.
Tier: Basic
Spark: Void
Range: Melee
Effect:
Inflicts low damage to one target.
Can be used as a free action once per turn if used after a melee.
Shard:
Name: Stylish Phantom
Description: The boast that sucks the air from the room. Strike like a phantom, move with flair, let your enemies know your might before you strike them down. Others call you a show-off. You prefer to think of it as vital psychological warfare.
Spark: Void
Facet Slots: 2
Effect:
Hit an opponent for damage with three Void basic spells in a row to gain Invisibility.
While Invisible, you can use a Void basic spell for free, once per round.
Facets:
Name: Drop of Potential
Spark: Void
Effect: Gain one additional spell slot for a Void spell
Name: Drop of Exchange
Spark: Void
Effect: Consume a Volatile Spark to charge a powerful spell (yours or an ally’s) twice.
